If you commuted around Seoul using the 30-day Climate Card between April and June, you could be owed up to ₩90,000 in cash. The final deadline to file your payback claim is August 31—here is everything you need to know before the window closes.

The Cashback Details

  • The Payout: ₩30,000 per month (up to ₩90,000 total for April, May, and June 2026) credited directly to your registered bank account.

  • Final Deadline: August 31, 2026.

  • Eligibility: Registered residents of Seoul and select partner cities (Gimpo, Gwacheon, Guri, Seongnam, Hanam) who recharged and completed a 30-day pass during the program period without early refunds.

How to Submit Your Claim

  • Standard Online Application: Log into the T-money Card & Pay website, select the ₩30,000 Payback tab, and enter your card details alongside your local bank account number.

  • Seniors & Foreign Residents: If you encountered online verification glitches or are aged 65+, a dedicated mail-in/offline application option is active throughout August.

Looking Ahead: Big Changes in September

This August cashback push marks the home stretch of the standalone Climate Card system. Starting September 1, Seoul is rolling out "Everyone's Card" (Climate Pass/K-Pass integration), which expands youth discount benefits up to age 39 for a 30% transit refund. Best of all, existing cardholders will not need to purchase new physical cards to take advantage of the transition.

Make sure to log onto the T-money portal before August 31 to secure your money—don't leave your transit savings on the table!
