The Seoul Metropolitan Government has officially opened six incredible outdoor swimming pools and water playgrounds right along the banks of the Han River.

Running from June 19 through August 30, 2026, these urban hotspots are transforming the city's waterfront into the ultimate seasonal cooling zones. Here is everything you need to know before you grab your swimsuit and dive in!

📍 Choose Your Perfect Splash Zone

The six locations across Seoul’s Hangang parks are divided into full-scale swimming pools and family-friendly water play areas, each offering a unique vibe:

• Yeouido Swimming Pool: The quintessential city pool with a massive layout, a refreshing aqua ring, and fantastic sunbathing spots right in the heart of the financial district.

• Ttukseom Swimming Pool: Easily accessible via public transit (near Jayang Station, Line 7), featuring a fun lazy river pool where you can float along on tubes.

• Jamsil Water Play Area: Boasts a modern infinity wall overlooking the Han River, an ultra-shallow infant pool, and nature streams.

• Nanji Water Play Area: Famed for its iconic "Music Pond" water fountain and an infinity pool aesthetic that blends right into the river scenery.

• Gwangnaru & Yanghwa Water Play Areas: Cozy, family-friendly environments that are perfect for smaller kids and relaxed wading.

Escaping the humidity has never been more affordable. Admission fees range from a nominal 1,000 KRW to 5,000 KRW depending on the specific facility and the visitor's age.

• Standard Daytime Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily.

• ✨ Special Night Openings: Starting July 3 through August 30, four prime locations (Yeouido, Ttukseom, Jamsil, and Nanji) will extend their operations until 10:00 PM! This gives you the perfect chance to enjoy a night swim while soaking in Seoul’s gorgeous, illuminated skyline.
