I came to Korea mainly for the Super Junior concert, and honestly… it was EVERYTHING. Like, the energy, the fan chants, seeing them live after all these years?? Unreal.
Before flying in, I actually pre-ordered a SIM card from Chingu Mobile and picked it up right at the airport. Super smooth process—no waiting around, and it activated instantly. Not even exaggerating, I had data before I even left the airport building. Such a lifesaver when you’re trying to figure out transportation in a new country.
The concert itself was held at KSPO Dome, and I was a bit worried about the network because… you know how concerts get. But surprisingly, my connection stayed super stable the whole time.
A few random moments that made me realize how clutch that SIM was:
- I was uploading IG stories DURING the show (yes I’m that person 😂) and they went through instantly—no lag at all
- My friend and I got separated in the crowd before the encore, but we were able to text and find each other pretty quickly
- I even managed to video call another friend for a few seconds so they could see the stage live 🥹
Outside of the concert, Seoul in April is just chef’s kiss 🌸
I spent a day walking around Yeouido Hangang Park and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. People were having picnics, taking photos, just enjoying the weather—it felt so wholesome.
Food was also a huge highlight. After the concert, I grabbed some late-night Tteokbokki and honestly it hit different after screaming my lungs out for hours 😂 Also finally had proper Korean BBQ, and yeah… I get the hype now.
Overall, this trip was such a core memory for me. If you’re planning to come to Korea for a concert (or just travel in general), I’d 100% recommend sorting your SIM in advance. Chingu Mobile made everything so easy, and having reliable data the whole time just made the experience stress-free.
Already lowkey thinking about coming back 🥹✈️
