Not gonna lie, I didn’t expect to love spring in Seoul this much.
Everywhere you go there are cherry blossoms, people out on picnics, and just a really nice vibe overall. I randomly ended up walking along the streets near N Seoul Tower and the views were incredible, especially with all the flowers starting to bloom.
Quick tip if you’re coming here: get a SIM card outside the airport. I went with Chingu Mobile and it was way cheaper than what I saw when I landed. Took like 10 minutes to set up and I’ve had zero issues with speed or coverage since.
Having data made it super easy to explore places like Myeongdong, where I basically just walked around eating everything I saw. Highly recommend trying Odeng and Korean BBQ if you haven’t already.
Honestly, this trip has been such a good mix of chill exploring, great food, and just enjoying the season. Seoul in spring is a vibe.
Walking up toward Namsan (N Seoul Tower) is literally like being in a K-drama when the blossoms are out—that incline is no joke, but the views definitely make you forget your legs are burning. And you are so spot on about Myeongdong; you haven't lived until you've stood on a busy corner with a cup of hot Odeng broth while people-watching!
I always tell people the same thing about the airport SIM traps! Going with a Chingu Mobile Korea SIM card is such a pro move. It’s crazy how much more you can spend on street food once you aren't overpaying just to have a Korea SIM card in your phone. Plus, having that unlimited data to upload all those aesthetic flower shots to Instagram in real-time is a total necessity.
Glad you're having such a blast—it really is a whole different vibe when the sun is out and the city is in full bloom. What's been your favorite street food so far? (I'm a sucker for those cheesy grilled scallops in Myeongdong!) 🧀🐚
