Every spring, the Sinjeon area of Seoul hosts a romantic and passionate cherry blossom festival. As one of the most representative university streets in South Korea, Sinjeon is adjacent to prestigious universities such as Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, and Hongik University. Hundreds of trees of the Kanzo Yoshino cherry blossom are planted along the streets. From the end of March to early April, the pink and white petals blanket the entire street like a cloud or mist. During the flowering season, local residents and tourists come in a continuous stream. Some stop to take photos, some sit on the ground for picnics, and some student clubs hold small concerts or reading clubs under the trees, adding youthful vitality to the spring. In addition, the Sinjeon business district often launches limited cherry blossom-themed coffee, desserts, and cultural products in conjunction with the flowering season. Some merchants will also extend their business hours to create a "night cherry blossom stroll" experience. It is worth noting that the Seoul City Government releases an "apricot blossom forecast" every year and updates the flower conditions in real time to facilitate public planning of cherry blossom viewing trips. Sinjeon is located north of the Han River, with a moderate altitude and stable microclimate. It is usually one of the areas in Seoul's urban area that blooms earlier and has a longer flowering period.
