If you’re in Myeongdong and craving grilled fish, Ban Tian Yao (半天妖) there is a solid choice.

The fish is flavorful, well-seasoned, and consistently cooked. More importantly, the Myeongdong location feels clean and well-run, and I’ve never had any stomach issues eating there. It’s a good spot for a satisfying, sit-down meal after shopping.

⚠️ Personal note: I’d honestly avoid the Gangnam Ban Tian Yao. I’ve eaten there a few times and had stomach problems every single time — might just be bad luck, but enough for me to stop going.
