The 2025 Mureungbyeol-yucheonji Lavender Festival will be held in Donghae, Gangwon Province, from June 14 to 22 (9 days). The festival will take place in Mureungbyeol-yucheonji’s 20,000 m² lavender field, featuring about 12,000 lavender plants in full bloom.

Visitors can stroll through the purple fields and enjoy a moment of peace and happiness, surrounded by the rich color and fragrance of lavender. Beyond the fields lies a calm, emerald-colored lake, adding a picture-like serenity to the scene.

This year, new nighttime lighting has been installed across the park, offering a completely different ambiance after sundown. During the day, tourists can appreciate the stunning natural landscapes and the sweet lavender scent; by night, the garden transforms into a purple wonderland under soft lighting and the glow of the Moon.

To allow everyone to appreciate this unique view, the opening hours have been extended to 10 p.m., letting people enjoy the lavender’s magic even after sunset.

Additionally, LED-equipped boats will navigate the lake after dark, and nearby walking trails will be softly illuminate­d, creating a romantic setting for an evening walk.
