Finally made it to Myeongdong, one of Seoul’s most iconic neighborhoods — and wow, it totally lived up to the hype! Whether you're a skincare junkie, a street food lover, or just want to soak up some classic K-culture, this place has everything. 😍
🌟 My Highlights 🌟
🛍️ Shop 'til You Drop
Both sides of Myeongdong’s main street are packed with beauty stores, fashion boutiques, and local designer shops. From Innisfree to Olive Young to Stylenanda, it’s skincare and fashion heaven. So many promos and freebies — I could barely carry everything I bought!
👟 Pro tip: Come with an empty suitcase. You’ll need it.
🍢 Street Food Heaven
Here’s my must-try list:
✅ Fried chicken skewers (crispy perfection)
✅ Korean egg bread (warm and fluffy!)
✅ Cheese corn dogs (the cheese pull is no joke 😂)
✅ Tteokbokki & fish cakes (perfect in the chilly air)
✅ Mango or watermelon juice (refreshing break from all the snacks)
🍽️ Lunch Spot: Myeongdong Kyoja
This place is LEGENDARY. Tried their signature kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and beef dumplings — comforting, hearty, and 100% worth the line.
⛪ Quick Cultural Stop: Myeongdong Cathedral
A beautiful Gothic-style red-brick church that offers a peaceful break from the hustle. Especially stunning at night with all the lights on — highly recommend snapping a pic or two here.
🎶 K-Beauty & K-Pop Galore
Many beauty stores have photo zones with K-pop idols and free makeover stations. I honestly got stuck in one for way too long… oops 😅
📌 Quick Tips
🕓 Plan to spend at least half a day here
💳 Bring cash or a UnionPay card — some stalls don’t take credit cards
📶 Most stores have free Wi-Fi, but a portable Wi-Fi router helps
👟 Wear comfy shoes — it’s a full-day walking mission!
Myeongdong stole my heart (and emptied my wallet 😂).
If you’re heading to Seoul, don’t skip it — it’s the perfect mix of food, fun, and fashion 💕
