May in South Korea is a wonderful time to enjoy festivals and the vibrant colors of blooming flowers. I had the chance to attend the Rose Festival at Everland Park (Yongin, Gyeonggi-do), which takes place from May 16 to June 15, 2025. With over 3 million roses from 720 different species, the rose garden here is truly a paradise for flower lovers. The festive atmosphere is lively with musical performances, photo zones, and various interactive activities.

I also visited the Jungnang Rose Festival in Seoul, held from May 16 to 24, 2025, at Jungnang Rose Park (along the Jungnangcheon Stream, from Mukdonggyo Bridge to Gyeomjaegyo Bridge). The long path of blooming roses creates a romantic scene, especially in the evening when the lights are turned on. The festival also includes live performances, exhibitions, and an outdoor rose library.

Another must-visit spot is Seokchon Lake in Seoul, where azaleas and peonies bloom beautifully in May. Walking around the lake, I felt a sense of peace and natural beauty in the heart of the bustling city. Truly, May is the perfect time to explore and immerse yourself in the colorful and festive spirit of Korea.
