I’ve slowly gotten used to the pace of life here in Korea.
Every day, I take the subway to class, and after school, I usually eat with friends at small restaurants near campus. A bowl of kimchi stew or kimbap is simple but so satisfying.
On weekends, I like to chill at a café for a few hours—do some homework or just space out. There are so many unique cafés in Korea, and each one has its own vibe.
By the way, for anyone planning to live in Korea for a while: if you need to get an Alien Registration Card (ARC), make sure you go to the immigration office—not the airport! The airport only handles passport stuff. I made that mistake at first too.
Even though I miss home sometimes, there are lots of warm little details here that make me feel at ease.
