Because of procrastination, I didn't exchange money or get my card ready before departure, and I came to Seoul in a rather haphazard manner. However, the trip turned out to be unexpectedly smooth, without the difficulties I had imagined. I exchanged cash at a money changer in Myeongdong when I didn't have Korean won; despite the language barrier, many Koreans could speak simple English, and some even knew Chinese; the subway wasn't as difficult to navigate as I thought; and I didn't have any bad experiences with the food.
Ever since I fell in love with EXO in primary school, Seoul, South Korea, has been on my list of destinations. Arriving here still feels magical. It's a place that's both familiar and strange, and even without visiting tourist attractions, strolling around the streets makes me feel happy. The narrow alleys are filled with many exquisite little shops. The busy 이무 at the restaurant always has a smile on her face. When I couldn't understand the Korean menu, the Korean staff helped me order in fluent english. A random fried chicken shop I entered on the street was delicious. It snowed a little when I was at Seoul Forest, and I managed to buy the last bottle of the foundation I wanted at Olive Young at night. There are many wonderful memories, and it was a very happy trip.
