• Fine Dust Alert Issued

  • PM2.5 alerts were issued this morning for Seoul, Incheon (Yeongjong, Yeongheung, western, and southeastern areas), and central Gyeonggi Province.
  • This is Seoul’s first PM2.5 alert of the winter.

• Current Air Quality (as of 2 p.m.):

  • Seoul & Gyeonggi: Very Bad (PM2.5)
  • Other regions: Bad (PM2.5)
  • PM10 (coarser particles) is also Bad in the capital area, South Chungcheong Province, and Jeju.

• Forecast for Tomorrow (January 21):

  • Most areas, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang, will have Bad PM10 levels.
  • Jeju and eastern Gangwon may have slightly better air.
