The picturesque village has beautifully restored traditional Korean houses, hanoks, and we see tourists and locals dressed in traditional costumes called Hanboks and taking pictures in quaint surroundings.
 Apparently, there are about 900 restored houses, and there are many cafes and restaurants along the steep winding alleys.
 The name North Village, which means North Village in English, is remarkable, noting the contrast between the village's Old World charm and the distant modern city skyline.
