If you are planning a trip to Incheon, there is one attraction that offers the perfect perspective of the West Sea without exhausting your feet: the Wolmi Sea Train (월미바다열차).
Recognized by the Korea Tourism Organization as one of the "Top 100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea," this is the country's longest urban monorail. It glides along an elevated track between 7 and 18 meters in the air, giving you a bird's-eye view of Incheon’s industrial port, coastal parks, and retro amusement docks.
Here is everything you need to know to plan the perfect ride.
Route Guide: The 4 Stations of the Loop
The Wolmi Sea Train runs on a 6.1-kilometer loop around what used to be Wolmido Island (now connected to the mainland). The train travels at a leisurely 10 km/h, taking about 42 minutes to complete the full circuit if you stay on board.
A standard adult ticket allows you two re-entries on the day of purchase, meaning you can jump off to explore and hop back on.
| Station | Best Nearby Attractions |
| 1. Wolmi Sea Station | Located right outside Incheon Station (Subway Line 1). This is the primary boarding hub and sits directly adjacent to Incheon Chinatown and the Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village. |
| 2. Wolmi Park Station | Ideal for nature lovers. You can access the traditional Korean gardens of Wolmi Park, hike up Wolmisan Mountain, or visit the Wolmi Cultural Center to glimpse Joseon-era life. |
| 3. Wolmi Culture Street Station | The entertainment heart. Steps away from the waterfront boardwalk, seaside sashimi restaurants, and Wolmi Theme Park—famous for its chaotic Disco Pang Pang and giant Ferris wheel. |
| 4. Museum Station | Cultural stop. Home to the Museum of Korea Emigration History and a fantastic observation deck looking over the massive Incheon Port lock gates. |
Visual Highlights Along the Track
As the monorail snakes around the coast, keep your eyes out the window for two massive visual landmarks that make this route so unique:
The World’s Largest Silo Mural
Between Wolmi Sea Station and Wolmi Park Station, you will pass a collection of massive industrial grain silos. In an effort to beautify the port, these were transformed into a gigantic outdoor book-themed mural. It officially holds the Guinness World Record as the largest outdoor mural painting in the world.
The West Sea Coastline & Incheon Bridge
As you round the outer edge of the island near Culture Street, the industrial scenery melts away into wide-open ocean views. On clear days, you can see the sprawling architecture of the Incheon Bridge stretching across the horizon.
