I’m visiting South Korea from the U.S. and have been spending most of my time in Seoul. One thing I quickly realized when traveling here is that having mobile data is absolutely essential. Between subway navigation, translation apps, and looking up restaurants, I use my phone constantly.

Instead of buying a SIM card at the airport, I found a place in the city called Chingu Mobile. The price was honestly much cheaper than what I saw at the airport counters, and the staff helped me get everything set up in just a few minutes. The connection has been fast and stable everywhere so far—even in the subway.

With the data working perfectly, I spent the day exploring Gyeongbokgung Palace. The architecture there is beautiful and the mountains behind the palace make the view even better. After that I walked through Bukchon Hanok Village, which has a lot of traditional Korean houses and some great photo spots.

Food has been another highlight of this trip. I finally tried authentic Korean BBQ and it was amazing—grilling the meat at the table and eating it with all the side dishes is such a fun experience. Later I had a bowl of Kimchi Jjigae which was spicy and perfect after a long day of walking.

Overall, if you’re visiting Korea and want a reliable but affordable SIM card, I’d definitely recommend checking out Chingu Mobile. It made traveling around Seoul a lot easier.
