The wind is strong and dry, and after just a few minutes outside my face feels like it’s freezing. Even when the sun is out during the day, the temperature doesn’t feel any warmer, and mornings and evenings are just unbearable.
Subways, malls, and cafés with heating are lifesavers—once you step outside, it’s a whole different story. Gloves, scarves, hats, and a thick coat are all absolutely necessary, or you won’t survive!
That said, winter in Korea is really beautiful. The streets, buildings, and occasional falling snow all feel very picturesque. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting: dress warm, don’t be caught off guard like me 😂
I wish the heaters could stay on all the time, or maybe some gentle snow to make it feel magical.
