Visiting South Korea was one of the most exciting and eye-opening experiences I’ve had! As a South Asian traveler, I definitely stood out—but in a good way. People were curious but kind, and though English wasn’t widely spoken everywhere, translation apps made life easier.

Seoul was vibrant and full of energy—modern but deeply rooted in tradition. Busan had chill beach vibes, and Jeju Island was just stunning. I loved the street food (tteokbokki is 🔥), though I’ll admit, I started missing desi spices after a few days. If you're vegetarian or need halal food, definitely plan ahead—it’s doable, but limited outside big cities.

Public transport was super clean and efficient. Shopping was a dream, especially for skincare, though fashion sizes were mostly petite.

Overall, South Korea was fun, safe, and totally worth it. If you love culture, history, K-pop, or just exploring something new—go for it. Just pack a bit of masala, and you’ll be fine 😉
