As an exchange student in Korea, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in a rich and unique culture. The respect for tradition is evident in everyday life, from bowing as a greeting to the reverence shown in tea ceremonies. I was amazed by how the younger generation values their elders, something that felt so different from my own country. My experience at local temples and palaces allowed me to learn about Korea’s history and customs, which I now cherish deeply. This exchange has opened my eyes to a whole new world of culture, and I feel incredibly lucky to experience it firsthand.
