There are many ways to check if your phone can have eSIM or not and here they are: 

1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Add eSIM. If the “Add eSIM” option is available, your device will support eSIMs

2. DIAL *#06# and press the call button. If you're able to view your device's eSIM unique identification number (EID), your device will support eSIMs.
